Restoration process

Condition report, photographs, historical notes and recommended treatments. We provide an estimate and timeline before any work begins.

Non-invasive cleaning, consolidation of fragile elements and use of archival adhesives and soldering techniques where necessary.

Skilled bench work, stone setting repairs, sympathetic re-plating if required, and final documentation with care instructions.

Materials & methods

Gold, silver, platinum: selective soldering, micro-welding and re-profiling using period-appropriate finishes. We avoid aggressive re-plating unless it preserves the integrity of the piece.

Antique and fragile stones: we inspect settings and use low-stress re-mounting techniques. For opals, pearls and other sensitive gems, we apply humidity- and temperature-controlled procedures.

Conservation-first approach: reversible adhesives, minimal invasive corrections, and archival packaging for long-term storage.
